Synopsis
“Canadian Images of Vietnam” is a documentary created by Robert Ridgen and David Ridgen using photographs taken by Canadians who volunteered to join American forces in Vietnam. Photographs were researched, gathered from a number of original sources, and re-photographed by Robert, many of them damaged over time by water and poor storage. Photographs were then edited together by David and Robert over a soundtrack recorded by Canadian Kevin McVeigh on a search and destroy mission in Vietnam. The result is an experimental documentary that captures the critical essence of the experience from many points of view.”
