The lonesome death of Troy Davis is a song off Jess Reimer’s amazing new album, “The Nightjar and the Garden” (Pipe & Hat 2014).

It’s a song that resonates with me because of my continuing work on Civil Rights cases in the American South. The album demands to be listened to as a whole, like a novel, and is beautiful in this way.
